Tropical vegetation permeates the high-rise structures of the megacity, establishing a spatial dialogue between the built environment and the natural landscape. Repetitive architectural modules, reduced to formal and material essentials, articulate a rational and controlled urban order. This systematic minimalism stands in deliberate contrast to the heterogeneity, density, and self-organizing growth patterns of the tropical rainforest.
The project explores the tension between standardization and organic complexity, positioning architecture not as an oppositional force to nature but as a framework within which ecological processes can unfold.
Through cutting, layering, and reassembling diverse forms, colors, and materials, the mixed-media process mirrors the city’s evolving ecosystem. Fragmentation and reconstruction become both method and metaphor for the shifting relationship between architecture, nature, and intimate urban geographies.
